About Cooper

Cooper Shaw has a diverse work experience in various roles related to acting, coaching, and teaching. In 1998, they started their career as an Actor and Writer. Cooper then worked as an Actor for TalentPlus starting in December 2011. In 2013, they became a Teaching Artist at STAGES St. Louis, where they taught acting, improvisation, and other related subjects to students of different age groups. Cooper also worked as a Standardized Patient for Washington University School of Medicine, where they portrayed patients for medical students and provided feedback on their performance. In 2016, they joined Logan University as a Standardized Patient for Chiropractic students. Cooper also worked as an Instructor at The Improv Shop and as a Contributing Writer for After Midnight With Ethan Steele. Currently, they are working as the owner of Cooper Shaw Acting Studio, providing acting coaching, dialect training, character development, audition preparation, and coaching services. In 2017, they also worked as a Dialect Coach and Character Development Coach at The Second City. Additionally, they served as a Teaching Artist at Camp Super Duper, where they facilitated creative learning experiences for students.


Cooper Shaw completed a Master's Degree in Acting from The New School in the years 2001 to 2004. Prior to that, from 1994 to 1997, Cooper obtained a BA in Theatre Arts from The University of New Mexico.
